Ghost — Potted, Hardened, and Ready for San Diego Sun
All of our Venus flytraps are shipped potted and fully acclimated to outdoor San Diego conditions. Each plant is thoroughly inspected for common pests and grown under full sun to encourage strong, colorful traps and compact growth.
Cultivar Notes
Visible Traits: As its name suggests, ‘Ghost’ is prized for its creamy white-green coloration with minimal or no red pigmentation, even under intense light. Traps tend to be symmetrical with fine cilia. This whiting is only present on the traps which makes for a very interesting display.
Growth Habits: Moderate grower. Best coloration develops in full sun with cooler nights. Often maintains its pale color through different seasons. Unique appearance makes it stand out in mixed collections.

General Venus Flytrap Care
• Light: Full sun (6+ hours daily). Direct sunlight encourages best coloration and growth.
• Water: Use only distilled, rain, or reverse osmosis water. Keep soil damp but not waterlogged.
• Soil: Our very own carnivorous plant mix is recommended!
• Feeding: Feed only live insects or allow plant to catch its own prey. We recommend our live fruit flies or captive-bred roaches as ideal feeders.
• Dormancy: Requires a winter dormancy period (approx. Nov–Feb). Reduce watering and sunlight.
• Potting: Repot every 1–2 years to refresh medium and prevent compaction.
